Cook & Book, the 9 themed restaurant-library in Brussels
In Brussels, it’s now easy to combine literature and gastronomy thanks to Cook & Book, created by Déborah Drion et Cédric Legein. An innovative dual-purpose library, divided into 9 themed sections, has opened in the centre of Brussels. In each section, there are tables for customers to enjoy a meal in whichever themed-section they choose: scones and tea in the UK section, wine in the Art and Music section, an Italian meal in the “Cucina” (Cooking) section…
Of course, the decoration of this dual-purpose business has also been done to match, with 9 different ambiances available. The gardening books are in a greenhouse, a caravan sits right in the middle of the tourism section, and the children’s area has its own electric train set. “The décor is mind-blowing! As soon as you walk through the door you feel at home. It really is the perfect place for book-lovers” enthuses blog-writer Mélanie Deltenre.
Restaurant-library, Cook and Book covers an area of 1500m² and this thematic place has become a local-living hub for book-lovers and locals in Brussels, who love to visit seven days a week. It also regularly puts on concerts and book signings – another great reason to head over!
