In Hiroshima, a hotel designed for cycling fans
Cyclists have found their paradise: a Japanese hotel in Hiroshima has been especially designed for them and for bikes.
The Onomichi U2 hotel is located in the outskirts of Hiroshima, near some wooded hills which are very popular with cyclists. That’s why the management of the hotel decided to make this former warehouse, into a paradise for lovers of cycling.
The innovative concept was designed especially for cyclists and includes not only an adapted layout, but also specific services. In the entrance hall, a long alley allows customers to access the reception without getting off their bikes. The hall has a workshop to repair the bikes as well as a specialist store to get all the right gear.
The hotel restaurant offers food adapted to sportsmen and women, and allows customers to both eat in the restaurant, or take their meals for excursions on their bikes.
All the rooms come with a structure that allows people to keep their bikes close. Despite the functional aspect of the room, the focus remains on a sleek design.
Finally, the hotel also covers the cost of transport of the bike for overseas customers, who have become increasingly attracted by this concept.
