In Belgium, touch tablets are being used to take food orders at the Latem restaurant
A restaurant in Belgian town St Martens-Latem is making the most of cutting-edge technology to improve its ordering system and increase client satisfaction.
Orders are automatically sent to printers set up at the bar and in the kitchens, thus cutting down on customer waiting time and increasing client satisfaction. They are also simultaneously recorded in the restaurant’s accounts and in a stock-check system, which automatically generates restock orders to be sent to the restaurant’s suppliers if anything is running low.
In the future, Latem plans to integrate an online ordering system into the software, catering for take-away meals and wine orders.
