In Detroit, 18 small retailers have joined together to create a ‘passport’ offering combined special offers
In November 2013, the main city of the state of Michigan went through an extremely precarious economic situation. As a result, several local shopkeepers joined together to maximise their profits through a system of cross-store offers.
They provide each of their customers with a ‘passport’ allowing them to obtain presents and special offers in associated retailers.
The initiative is particularly welcome during the holiday season, when customers go from shop to shop looking for presents for their loved ones.
This is an inter-professional approach that could prove highly valuable during this time of crisis.
