In Hué (Vietnam), clever and ecologically-friendly museum tickets are being used
Most of the time, the ticket you’re given in a museum or historical site resembles a standard ticket, which is normally aesthetically pleasing, and usually just proves that you’ve visited a location and have paid to get in.
In Huế, the approach taken has been to transform this ticket into a useful guide for visitors. By putting a map on the back, it becomes a practical-guide for tourists who can then find their way around sites and understand where they are, when they are, on a site which covers many hectares. On this small yet useful ticket, all the essential visitor information is present in Vietnamese and English. This is innovative tourism in Vietnam at its best.
