In La Défense, a high-tech store is identifying the start-ups of tomorrow

A store which specialises in the sale of tech items has given itself the task of identifying innovative start-ups. This initiative allows them to be at the cutting edge of technology.

In La Défense, a high-tech store is identifying the start-ups of tomorrow

Lick is a chain of stores focused on digital experience and the sale of high-tech goods. They have 17 stores in France.

The Lick store in La Défense has introduced an original activity called the ‘Demo Days’: a chance for start-ups to come and present their technical and technological innovation to customers in-store.

This meeting gives small businesses the chance to present their products and get instant feedback from consumers. The unique meeting helps the store stay at the cutting edge of innovation and follow the latest trends and technological practices.

This strategy has allowed Lick in La Défense to become somewhere that discovers new talent and stands out from the numerous stores which sell high-tech goods in the 4 Temps shopping centre, the largest in Europe.

The concept was rewarded with the LSA trophy for innovation in 2014. Interested start-ups can apply on the store’s website.
