In Paris, a restaurant publishes on Facebook the dish of the day and name of the chef who made it
Manger is a community restaurant in Paris with 30% of its employees suffering from social exclusion or in the process of retraining.
Working alongside expert chefs, these employees learn how to cook and enter this profession.
You can enjoy ‘hen’s egg and green asparagus with aniseed’ by Anne-Sophie Pic or the ‘sea bass with artichoke barigoule from Flora Mikula while supporting a good cause, because 10% of the restaurant’s profits are donated to the Toques & Partage charity
To highlight the knowhow and these commitments, the Parisian restaurant regularly publishes photos of the dish of the day, and the name of the chef who prepared it, on its social network Facebook page.
It’s an effective method of making potential customers’ mouths water, and with just 90 covers, the restaurant makes €150 000 every month.
The concept creator, Thierry Monassier, plans to launch similar set-ups around the country, backed by expert chefs from the area.
He’s created an example of an innovative restaurant both in its concept and communication strategy.
