The Brazilian agency, Carvalho Hosken, has found an original solution to make properties look more attractive with the ‘The Social Home Tour’, an app created by the agency. By downloading it, clients agree to give access to their personal details on Facebook in what is now a very common process.In Rio de Janeiro, an estate agency has customised their properties for sale so to suit potential buyers’ style

Using the app is simple: photos are collected on social network Facebook, then displayed in the property to be viewed. This gives the potential buyer a little surprise upon arrival, but also gives them the impression of already being at home. Its use can go even further, using the tastes, hobbies and pastimes of the client to customise the property: so a football fan will find the television switched on, showing a game.

During the period in which the trial took place, Carvalho Hosken had a 28% sale rate, which is three times higher than the usual rate. What’s more, 43% of clients chose to share this experience on Facebook, publishing the photos the agency had taken during their visit, therefore passing on a good image of the estate agency.
