At the airport, in underground stations, amusement parks, fairgrounds and exhibitions... All these places gather a huge influx of travellers who are on the move but sometimes have to wait (before a flight, meeting time...). Since 2010, Beauty Bubble hair salons have had the bright idea of setting up mini-stands providing an express, cheap haircut: the perfect formula to satisfy people in a hurry!

The minute haircut offers customers, for a minimal price (€10 for short hair), a cut or blow-dry, with no washing beforehand – founder, Patrick Langer, noticed that the vast majority of people arrived at the hairdresser’s with clean hair… Thanks to this time saving initiative, customers can have their hair styled in 10-15 minutes – which is exactly the time they have before luggage check-in for example. Of course, these haircuts don’t require an appointment.

Because it was able to adapt itself to its environment and turn that into an asset: these hairdressers have set themselves up in areas where customers have neither the time nor the inclination to be pampered, so they created a business concept which met the desire for speed. Opposite, we can see a beauty bubble in a shopping centre; a moment of relaxation on your own before going to meet your friends who are a little late! “It’s an express, immediate service, set up precisely where people are doing their shopping, and which meets a new need: to maximise time”, explains Patrick Langer, founder of Beauty Bubble, to the Parisien.

In less than two years, Beauty Bubble has won over its clientele, and has set itself up in a dozen locations, from the Paris underground to Carrefour Planets in Lyon. The success is such that the business is now looking to diversify its services: the express manicure, very fashionable in the States, should soon see the light of day!
