In Montreuil, a micro-brewery offers organic beer-making courses
La Montreuilloise micro-brewery organises weekly taster workshops over half a day in the company of brewers.
La Montreuilloise is a micro-brewery in the Paris region which is dedicated to the production of craft beers. They aim to work in the most coherent manner while sticking to their ideals: not only does the brewery have an organic label, but it also adheres to agriculture label Nature & Progrès, uses craftsmen’s work, and refuses to allow its products to be sold in supermarkets.
The wish of the founder of this micro-brewery is above all to spread his love of beer. That’s why he offers workshops to the general public, to learn the secrets of brewing beer.
For half a day the brewers of la Montreuilloise teach participants about ingredients, the fermentation process and the different types of beer. Customers then move onto the practical side, to make their own beer… before coming back 13 days later to put their beers in bottles and take about 20 litres back with them.
The initiative has been a real success, given that all the brewing sessions are booked up months in advance.
