New cat café opens in London
These specialist concept cafés are fairly widespread in Asia. For a small fee, Neko Café customers can have a drink, connect to the internet, and stroke a cat. Inspired by this Asian business idea, a young English woman decided to open her very own cat café in London.

This London-based cat-café is called “Lady Dinah’s Cat Emporium“, in reference to Alice in Wonderland. It offers guests the opportunity to enjoy a drink in the midst of thirty-plus cats that are ready to be petted. This environment allows customers to relax and enjoy the affection of animals, which is known to have both a calming and soothing effect on humans.
The café also gives customers the opportunity to discover the different breeds of cats, including some interesting rarities for cat-connoisseurs. All the cats come from the Mayhew Animal Home refuge centre.
The project was financed by a crowd-funding campaign, which just goes to show how popular these specialist types of café really are amongst the modern generation.
