In New York, one restaurant is becoming known for its giant and original milkshakes
The United States are well-known for offering more generous portions than elsewhere... Through its milkshakes, which combine imagination and American excess, a New York restaurant has made its name.
Historically, economists have been split between ‘Small is Beautiful’ and those who go for the opposite with ‘Big is Beautiful’. In New York, Black Tap has gambled on going bigger to stand out. And it appears to be working.
While the burgers, salads and beers on offer in the restaurant are classics, it’s the very special desserts which mark it out from other American fast food chains and have made it famous.
Its unusual milkshakes, known for their giant size and unique design, have made the restaurant a success. The chef Joe Isidori is never short of ideas to prepare these very special treats. You can find mountains of milk and ice cream, covered in icing sugar and melted chocolate, but also slices of cake, cookies, Oreos, candyfloss or popcorn…
These come alive in surprising and amusing forms, for the pleasure of the eyes and the taste buds of customers. And those customers aren’t put off by the wait: to visit the Black tap and taste the famous milkshakes, they are prepared to stand in the queue for several hours.
With so much demand, the restaurant has decided to open a second establishment, to the delight of New Yorkers.
