In Paris, a concept store is diversifying by offering a water bar
Colette, a Parisian concept store dedicated to fashion and design, has an original restaurant area, the Colette Water Bar.
It’s hard to imagine a trendy bar which only sells water… And yet that’s the gamble taken by the store Colette: all you need to do is go down a few steps to see the Water Bar, tucked away in the basement of the store.
As they don’t have a licence to sell alcohol, the company chose to make this weakness into a strength. In order to stand out from the crowd, they came up with the idea of a ‘Water Bar’; Colette is backing the originality of the concept, which follows the trend of speciality bars, to make customers’ visits a unique experience.
The space offers 60 varieties of water, still or sparkling, coming from the world over: Fiji, Denmark, Germany, Australia… In order to keep everyone happy, some snacks, fruit juice and soft drinks are also available.
Customers can discover water that sounds like major vintages, such as Abatilles Saint Anne, with diuretic properties, alkalines, trace minerals, as well as some real treasures, such as floral water (sage, chamomile…) and even limited editions like Bling, a bottle encrusted with Swarovski crystals.
The water on offer at the Water Bar is in the same style as the products in the rest of the store: luxury, original and carefully selected.
