In Paris, a lawyer gives advice on the internet
To attract new clients, a lawyer in Paris has set up a website where she offers good advice and uses her own experiences.
Anne Constance Coll is a lawyer in the Paris bar. Her law office, in the 17th arrondissement in Paris, wanted to break with the tradition of the distant, inaccessible lawyer.
To do that she developed a website which focuses on legal information, highlighting her expertise and the client relationship.
Her website includes testimony from clients vouching for the quality of her law firm, as well as a FAQ on common law issues (divorce, pensions, redundancy) to improve the legal culture of her readers.
The website clearly explains billing by the firm. The aim is to attract people who are worried and slightly intimidated by lawyers and this approach has been a huge success.
The success has followed and her law firm is planning to extend this model to become a franchise of lawyers for the general public. The Coll firm earned the 2015 prize for innovation for law firms.
