Retailers convey their brand values with quotes displayed on in-store walls
In order to make their stores a truly unique point of sale and in line with their brand identity, companies are starting to cover their walls in slogans, mantras and advice. Here are just a few of the most memorable examples…
Selfridges focus on their corporate culture
Selfridges proudly display motivational phrases on their employee entrance such as “buying is a job where you have to be creative, not passive“, “nothing is more fun than work” and “develop your imagination, abandon routine“. A great way to motivate your employees whilst showing customers that your brand is constantly working on the development and well-being of its staff.
Converse, another American sportswear retailer, has instead decided to focus on the history of the firm and its values. The walls of their flagship store in New York read “I love NYC” recalling both the geographic origin of the brand and the iconic star that has remained the brand’s logo since its creation.
Uniqlo display their vision of the future
In the windows of its flagship store in New York, the Japanese clothing brand set out their vision of the future: “Open the future. Luxury will be simplicity, purity in design, beauty and comfort. Quality for all. Basics are the common language for all of those who love fashion. At Uniqlo, the future is already here”. A great way to showcase the brand’s ethos, which releases new collections every 15 days, made up of basic pieces mixed with flashy colours at relatively low prices.
